Colour & Finish Discovery

Start with the look you want, then select the appropriate product family and exact product. Manufacturer shade names, codes and colour tools should always be treated as manufacturer-specific data.

Colour family

Explore whites/off-whites, neutrals, yellows, oranges, reds, purples, blues and greens as a discovery starting point.

Finish

Compare matt, soft sheen, sheen, gloss and other finishes only where the exact product source confirms the finish.

Interior

Choose the finish based on desired appearance, cleaning/washability requirement, room use and the applicable manufacturer system.

Exterior

Consider weather exposure, dust/algae resistance, durability and the manufacturer's exterior system before choosing a finish.

Wood & metal

Wood and metal finishes are separate coating systems. Do not use wall-paint assumptions for these surfaces.

Waterproofing

Colour is secondary to solving the water/moisture problem and following the correct waterproofing system.
