Tile grouting and joint filling is a specialised finishing service that plays a crucial role in both the appearance and longevity of any tiled surface, and Islamia Paints & Decor offers professional grouting solutions for residential and commercial clients across Kolkata. Grout is the material that fills the gaps between tiles, and over time it can become discoloured, cracked, crumbled, or even fall out completely due to wear, moisture, and cleaning chemicals. Damaged grout not only looks unsightly but also allows water to seep behind the tiles, leading to tile detachment, wall damage, and in the case of bathrooms, water leakage to the floor below. Our grouting services cover both new tile installations (where we apply the grout as the final step after tile laying) and re-grouting of existing tiled surfaces (where we remove the old, damaged grout and replace it with fresh grout). We offer three main categories of grout: cement-based grouts from Myk Laticrete and Dr. Fixit that are economical and suitable for general floor and wall applications in dry and semi-wet areas; epoxy grouts from Laticrete that are premium, stain-resistant, chemical-resistant, and virtually maintenance-free — ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, commercial kitchens, hospitals, and swimming pools; and urea-grout or acrylic grout for quick-repair applications where a fast-setting solution is needed. Our re-grouting process involves careful removal of the existing grout using specialised hand tools or small grout-removal machines (without damaging the tiles), thorough cleaning and vacuuming of the joints, application of grout release or masking on porous tile surfaces to prevent staining, and precise application of the new grout with proper tooling and cleaning. We also provide grout sealing services where a clear, penetrating sealer is applied over cement-based grout lines to make them water and stain resistant. For colour matching, we stock a wide range of grout colours from Laticrete, Dr. Fixit, and Sika, and can also create custom colours to match or complement your tile selection.
